Margaret and I would like to say a huge THANK-YOU to you all for supporting us in coming to the coffee morning and also to those who baked cakes or donated raffle prizes & plants. And to all those who helped on the day man the stalls or parking duties. It was a fantastic morning & we were thrilled to have everyone at our house. And of course thrilled with the resulting total of funds raised!!!!!! & watch this space for a futre date for light lunches & sweets at our house weather permitting. |

Ok guys. not a great result but you all played very well I thought. Then considering a month ago there was the very real possibility of not actually competing at all, shows the commitment that this band has. On refelction to stay another year in the second section with the changes we have to make might not be so bad a thing. Actually if we analyse the results from the weekend then of the bands that competed, we are still the highest ranked second section band in Devon & Cornwall and there were only seven higher ranked Cornish bands above us. What would we have given for that nine years ago during our `DINNINGTON` period? No outside help then either. ONWARD AND UPWARD. |

Well! After listening to a few trial battles over the weekend, I can safely report that now that the appointed killers have learned that asbestos clothing deflects heat, that the dragon doesn`t seem quite so nasty. Now all that`s needed is to sharpen the knives. |

Great Website.
It's certainly given me ideas for upgrades for our www.chedworthsilverband.co.uk site!
We hope to get some more clips on you tube, my son 13 was let loose with a camcorder on Boxing day and we upoaded four clips of Carols, (search Chedworth) taken when we were tired out after 3 hours playing, it was freezing, and my version of "Gloucestershire Wassail usually goes a lot better than that!
Have you thought of putting your programs on the website? It's something I hope to do.

Congratulations on running a really good web site and keeping it up to date.
I have been watching the web site for a few months waiting for a report of the ISB's visit in September, but nothing has appeared yet. I was unable to attend the concert this year, but did come down a couple of years ago for their visit. I remember reading Derek Johnson's enthusiastic and informative write up of their previuos visit and would be interested to know whether the visit was as successful 2nd time round and what the programme content was. |
